Bus Projects
Buses are the backbone of our transit system, carrying over 60% of transit customers in Metro Vancouver to the people and places that matter most. Our system includes:
-
1,700 low and zero-emissions vehicles in our bus fleet, which drove 113.6 million service km in 2022
-
250 local bus routes
-
8,500 bus stops
-
1 million daily boardings, with an annual ridership of 208 million in 2022
Fun fact: Each year, our fleet travels about 107 million service km, which is the distance of going to the moon and back over 250 times.
Our Bus Priority projects help make our buses faster and more reliable, allowing our customers to plan their travel around their lives, rather than plan their lives around their travel.
